How Long Does it Take to Charge using blu Cigs Chargers?

Charging time depends on the blu Cigs charger:

  • blu cigarette via USB charger – 30 minutes
  • blu cigarette via blu Original Pack – 1.5 hours
  • blu cigarette battery via Premium pack – 45 minutes
  • blu Original pack – 3 hours
  • blu Premium Pack – 1.5 hours

These are your average charge times for each device and charge method. Please note these times are based on how long the products take to charge once they have signaled they need to be recharged. Once a battery blinks 30 times or your pack has no charge you should charge them and do not attempt to run their power down further. These charging indicators are put in place to protect and ensure optimum performance of the batteries contained within the blu products.

What Happens When the Charger Changes From Red to Blue?

On all blu cigs devices where there is a blue or red indicator light. The blue means ready to go or finished and the red means charging and should not be removed from the charger.

Why is My E Cigarette Charger Flashing?

Your blu batteries will flash under two circumstances.  Firstly if your battery blinks 30 times this means it requires charging.  Please charge via your pack or the USB charger at this point.  Your blu cigs pack will also warn you if you are overusing the product by blinking 5 times.  This is merely a guide and simply to show you that you should take a rest from smoking the product for a few minutes.  This is feature serves the purpose just like a traditional cigarette running out but because ecigs don’t have a start and finish point this feature simply gives the user the same type of perspective they are use to with traditional cigarettes.

What Does the Red Light on the Charger Indicate?

When the light is red it means the product is charging.

What Does the Blue Light on the Charger Indicate?

When the light is or turns blue it means the product is ready for use.

Can I Leave the Battery in the USB Charger if it’s Not Plugged in?

It is fine to leave your blu batteries screwed into the USB charger while not plugged into an active USB outlet. While in this state no harm can be caused to either the charger or the cigarette battery. If screwed in the USB charger and plugged into a live USB port your battery should be removed after charging and not left in for extended periods of time.

How Often do E Cigarette Chargers Need to be Replaced?

Blu packs, USB charger and wall chargers are made to the highest quality and standards. Blu is also constantly reviewing these standards and you will see changes in the charging accessories regularly in terms of design and/or certification. Typically these devices should last for years if used as specified within your manual. They should always be kept in a dry cool place and treated as any other electronic power supply.

Can I Return a Defective Charger?

Yes, all blu cigs accessories are covered by our comprehensive 1 year warranty. To return a defective product you must fill out an RMA form, which came packed within your initial order if you ordered online.  If you do not have one, please download an RMA form here. Once received the warehouse will process your warranty claim and these are typically handled from start to finish within 2 weeks. Please note that ALL warranty claims must be accompanied with an RMA form. If you do not enclose a completed RMA for with your return it cannot be processed and will be held for a limited time and then discarded if the originator cannot be found and an RMA submitted.

Does the USB Charger Come with a Cord?

No, the USB charger is only intended to be used while directly plugged into a USB port on your computer. You should not use any of your blu products or accessories other than their intended use which is outlined in your user manual.

What Voltage is the USB Charger?

The blu USB charger contains a chip that changes the amount of voltage and current based on the charge state of the battery. The maximum it will put out at any given moment is 4.2 volts.

What Voltage is the Wall Charger?

blu cigs wall chargers put out a constant 5 volts and do not vary like the USB chargers.

Are Other E Cigarette Chargers Compatible with blu cigs?

No, you should never use other charging devices with any other product other than the product they are intended for.  Doing so could cause harm and even fire.  Blu cigs chargers are specifically made to work in conjunction with blu products.  Using other chargers with your blu products could void your warranty and cause electrical fires or harm.  Only use blu Cigs chargers with your blu devices.
